Steven Vig

Dr. Steven Vig has been a long-standing member of the Southern Arizona Junior Golf Association Board of Directors and supports many youth activities throughout Southern Arizona .
Dr. Vig provides instruction at the west-side practice site and donates his time and expertise during every event, from clinics, to tournament play. He is also the author of the “How to be a Better Golfer” portion of our website and donates funds for prizes and web support for all of SAJGA.
The Vig trophy was first awarded in December 2004 and is presented to the golfer in each competitive division with the lowest stroke average over the course of the season.
The Southern Arizona Junior Golf Association is a non-profit, 501 c {3} organization, run entirely by volunteers , that provides year-round junior golf opportunities to girls and boys throughout southern Arizona.
Several past members have gone on to college on golf scholarships while hundreds of others have learned, enjoyed, and continue to play the game of golf. What started as a small number of junior girls is now over 300 girls and boys strong.
