SAJGA Dress Code Policy

Players : Ages 12 and younger

Players must wear appropriate golf attire

and either

an SAJGA shirt (SAJGA-issued shirt that they received at their initial Rules and Etiquette Clinic or a shirt received that has SAJGA embroidered on it)

or

an SAJGA hat (SAJGA-issued hat that they received at their initial Rules and Etiquette Clinic, hats given to commemorate SAJGA-sponsored events, or a hat received that has SAJGA embroidered on it).

Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a two-stroke penalty.

Players that do not wear appropriate golf attire will not be allowed to compete in the subject event(s).

 

Players : Ages 13 and older

Players must wear appropriate golf attire.

  • Shirts are to be worn tucked in and hats facing forward.
  • Spike-less golf shoes or tennis shoes only, must be worn at all times.
  • Jeans, jean shorts, and cut-offs are strictly forbidden.
  • If shorts/pants/skirts have belt loops, then a belt must be worn.
  • Length of shorts must be no shorter than a dollar bill length, measured from the top of the knee, nor may they be longer than the bottom of the knee.
  • Shorts must not have more than 4 pockets (no “cargo” shorts”).

The tournament director has the right to deem other attire inappropriate.

Members are discouraged from wearing inappropriate attire to other SAJGA-sponsored events (practices, lessons, clinics).

 

Appropriate Golf Attire

Appropriate golf attire is considered a collared shirt, slacks/shorts, and golf/tennis shoes.

Parents, guardians, scorekeepers, and spectators should present a professional appearance.

The following are not allowed at SAJGA tournaments:

Jeans

Cut-offs

Tank tops

Offensive/sexually explicit clothing or hats

As a general rule slacks/shorts and a collared shirt are always appropriate.

After Completing your Order...

Check the

SAJGA Tournament Schedule

for individual tournament information, accepted entries, etc. Information is updated on the 1st and 15th of the month. If you have any questions, please contact the Tournament Director via email: director@sajga.org

Withdraw Policy

The tournament director must be notified of any player withdrawing from an event.

Players may withdraw at anytime up to the day of the event.

A refund will only be given to those players withdrawing before the "Entry/Refund Deadline" date (indicated on the schedule and tournament information pages).

A service charge will be imposed on refunds.
