Uniform Replacement requests can be made to the Tournament Director: director@sajga.org
Players:
During play in all SAJGA-sponsored events, members are required to wear their SAJGA-issued shirt and hat that they received at their initial Rules and Etiquette Clinic. Hats given to commemorate SAJGA-sponsored events may also be worn (e.g. Spring Classic, Fall Invitational, etc.). These hats have “SAJGA” stitched onto them. Hats won from raffles are not SAJGA-issued hats.
A 2-stroke penalty will be added to a player’s total score for failing to wear the proper uniform. Repeated offenses may result in disqualification, as deemed appropriate by the tournament director.
Shirts are to be worn tucked in and hats facing forward.
Spike-less golf shoes or tennis shoes only, must be worn at all times.
Jeans, jean shorts, and cut-offs are strictly forbidden.
Belts must be worn by both boys and girls.
Length of shorts must be no shorter than a dollar bill length, measured from the top of the knee, nor may they be longer than the bottom of the knee.
Shorts must not have more than 4 pockets (no “cargo” shorts”).
The tournament director has the right to deem other attire inappropriate.
Failure to adhere to the dress code will result in appropriate action by the tournament director. Players who arrive wearing inappropriate attire will not be allowed to participate in tournament play.
Members are discouraged from wearing inappropriate attire to other SAJGA-sponsored events (practices, lessons, clinics).
Proper golf attire is considered a collared shirt, slacks/shorts, and golf/tennis shoes.
Parent/Scorekeeper/Spectator Attire
Parents, guardians, scorekeepers, and spectators should present a professional appearance. The following are not allowed at SAJGA tournaments:
Jeans
Cut-offs
Tank tops
Offensive/sexually explicit clothing or hats
As a general rule slacks/shorts and a collared shirt are always appropriate.
