Criteria

Members participating in "point eligible" SAJGA Tournaments are awarded points in the following manner:

  • 1st Place     10 points
  • 2nd Place     8 points
  • 3rd Place      7 points
  • 4th Place      6 points
  • 5th Place      5 points
  • 6th Place      4 points
  • Participant    3 points

In the event of a tie, points will be added up and divided by the number of players tied. For example, two players tie for 4th Place, 6 points + 5 points = 11 points then divide by 2 (players). Each player is awarded 5.5 points.

If a player is disqualified from an event for cheating or other inappropriate behavior, they are ineligible for the Booth Trophy or the Ringgenberg Trophy, for the calendar year in which the disqualification takes place.

As members move up Player Levels, throughout the year, they retain 2/3 of their points (annotated in italics).

End of Year Tie Breakers

  • Number of 1st Place finishes in the current division
  • Number of 2nd Place finishes in the current division
  • Number of 3rd Place finishes in the current division
  • Head to Head competition in the last event of the year
  • Head to Head competition in the next to last event of the year
